Some very strange things do happen with movements, just look at history! Why not right here in the western suburbs of Melbourne? Maybe a little old suburb called Sunshine might have what it takes.
People are looking for a reason to believe in something better than what we have now. Give them something to believe in, some hope, capture their imagination, capture their sense of adventure and possibility, and very, very strange things might happen.
Stranger things have happened. No question about it.

The unions turned on the ALP in WA and lost the state election. Fremantle lost in the recent by-election. Look at the UK council elections, the equivalent of our state elections. New Labor lost many 'safe seats'. Things can turn around very quickly. Where most dramatic political change takes place things seem to move at a glacial pace and then all of a sudden the flood gates open. Almost all at once the mass of the population decided 'I have f*ckin' had enough and I am not takin' anymore' I think that glacial pace of change has quickened and the tidal wave is on the way. If you don't have hope and you cannot believe it can happen, you have nothing. You have to start somewhere.

I see from the local paper that Geraline Brooks will be running against Telmo in Derrimut this year.
That should take a few votes away from the invisible bastard.
I am waiting to see how the preferences line up, would hate to see Greens preferences going to Labor.

The Greens always put ideology ahead of reality - they wont be putting the Liberals ahead of the ALP on preferences anytime soon - no matter how big the ALP margin is.

Mate, I've been living in my beautiful Sunshine West for a long time we don't have those here, he deals with big heads probably, if I am wrong please encourage someone new to clean up the area, this is the right time to do it, and we can do it together!!

When it comes to advisers don't use Alex Shlotzer he's a clown and don't use Colleen Hartland, she hasn't achieved a thing.

I remember the night at the Council meeting where she moved that Council accept Raphia a town in West Bank under the Bombarment of Israel, to be our sister City, what those people were after at that time, was Water, Food, and Medical assistance, not (SISTER CITY) She has no brains.

http://www.theage.com.au/national/baillieu-bounds-into-contention-20100201-n8xq.html
OPPOSITION Leader Ted Baillieu has surged into contention for November's state election, with a new poll showing the Coalition gaining dramatically on John Brumby's government.
The turnaround in the Coalition's election chances comes as voters lashed out at the government over the botched introduction of the myki ticket system.
They also criticised the government's efforts to combat alcohol-related violence, with the poll showing that law and order had emerged as a key election issue.
The Greens have benefited from the drop in Labor's primary vote, with 14 per cent saying they will give their first vote to the Greens, up from 10 at the 2006 election.
The federal opposition has moved ahead of the Rudd government on primary votes for the first time since the 2007 election, according to the latest Newspoll.
