Can you check for a staffer at Rob Hulls office, see if one has a criminal record?

Re:Justin Madden 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago

Now they're attacking the Ombudsman's investigators. Labor Unity will not stop! They will not accept the Ombudsman's report. Now they want to attack the Ombudsman.
The only thing the Ombudsman should be criticised for is that his report didn't go far enough. It simply wasn't hard enough. There were so many more rorts that were left out of the report, so much more atrocious behaviour that went unreported. And the report certainly didn't expose the tentacles that extend deeply into the state government and into the federal government. But how could the Ombudsman have truly gone as hard as was necessary, with Labor Unity as its master? I don't blame him for going soft on the likes of Justin Madden, Brendan O'Connor, Telmo Languiller, and Billy Shorten? He did his best, and he treaded the tight rope very carefully. Unfortunately, he had to go soft on the MPs. It would have been suicide to do otherwise. They will punish him regardless, but had he gone harder on the MPs, they would have crucified him.
Of course he did go hard on the Theophanous brothers, but hell they don't count, they were already disgraced, so why not sink the boot in some more with them?! No-one gives a shit about them now. The 2 Theophanous brothers deserved everything they got, and they were a convenient sacrificial lamb.
But while steering clear of the MPs, the Ombudsman did step on some pretty powerful Labor Unity toes, none more so than Hakki Suleyman. So now the Ombudsman will pay! It's the Labor Unity way, which we know so well in Sunshine. They're criticising the Ombudsman so that next time he is more careful and doesn't step on any more Labor toes. Make no mistake, there will be retribution for the Ombudsman.
Is it any wonder that Labor is shit scared of an independent anti-corruption commission? They need to be able to bully their watchdog into submission, as they will with the Ombudsman.
It's scary how much Victoria resembles pre-Fitzgerald Queensland.

What's the bet Justin apologises for misleading the parliament before he has to face a no confidence motion on June 2?

Madden interviewed on Jon Faine this morning. He admits that services here have been compromised by political expediency, that is to say Labor Unity comes before social programs in all spending decisions out this way.
"As I've said publicly before, Jon, politics in the western suburbs is not for the faint hearted and this is not just about the politics of the Labor Party because for many years out in the west there's been many issues to deal with, and they still continue to exist."
Well gee, Justin, I wonder why that is? Could it be because and your Labor Unity criminals have been syphoning the money out of social services and directing it to branch stacking?

According to Madden, "politics is not for the faint hearted in the western suburbs".He also said something about it not just being Labor that is responsible for the problems in the west, but that the Liberals and the Greens are also responsible. Previously, he has mocked the likes of Bernie Finn and others when they talk about the western suburbs. I also remember him saying something to either Vogels or maybe Baillieu to the effect of "what would you know about the western suburbs" - mocking them, and implying that they were living lives so distant to those in the west, that they shouldn't be commenting.
The more I hear Madden rabbit on, the more I realise he is so totally out of touch with life in the western suburbs. I think he is repulsed by the western suburbs - we are not like him. He speaks about the western suburbs as if it is another planet. All he knows about the western suburbs is that it is not a place that the likes of him live in or frequent very often. That's it. Listen to him speak and you'll realise it comes through loud and clear.
With that attittude, is it any wonder he has ignored the corruption in our community? For him, the western suburbs' community might as well have been complaining about life on mars. What the hell did it matter who was ripping off who? As long as they didn't come anywhere near his way of life.
Now the martians are coming after him. He simply cannot comprehend why the community has turned against him. It is totally foreign to him. The thing that must upset him the most is the realisation that there is life on mars after all, and it is darn right hostile.
Maybe he shouldn't have neglected all those letters from ET.

I am soooooooo looking forward to parliament sitting next week. With a little luck some dross will be flicked!
The Libs and the Greens are preparing for battle. Madden will soon realise that harbouring a branch stacker was a bad political move

It was a good political move until he got caught out. He benefited greatly from Hakki for years

We know that Lsabor Unit reacts fiercely when they are criticised, but backed into a corner as they are now, they will be utterly vicious. Be prepared for the biggest shit fight in parliament next week. It will be unbelievable.
Madden will be on the attack, Brumby will back him up. Anyone associated with Labor Unity will be like attack dogs.
It's going to be on for young and old.

The cracks in Labor are starting to appear. They can't dump Hakki as he has too much on them. But keeping him is political suicide.

The inside word is that the Labor MPs are not all on Madden's side. Many would like to see him fall.
Has anyone thought that Labor's red herring (threatening to dump Seitz) as reported in The Age today was as much to keep the Labor MPs and members on side as it was to fend of the media attacks?

Absolutely correct.
SunRRA has been in contact with ALP MP's who have been supportive of its work and are welcoming the widespread exposure of poor political representation of a needy community for what it really is.
This one is now much much bigger than Brimbank and it has opened people's eyes to the ALP machine and its gory underbelly.
Some of the MP's still have principles and values but those in charge of the "Brimbank Strategy" lost theirs quite a few moons ago.
Driven by power, the Brimbank Factional Warlords and their hangers on have abused it to the max and now like all those abusers before them are about to pay their dues.
A new breed of political activists with real talent and ALP principles and values will be a welcome change in 2020 as it will take that long to clean the current mess up.

But we cannot wait that long-the state of political decay is advanced in all parties and we desperately need relief from institutionalised, political bullying. We desperately need to put people back in the picture.

Are you sure they weren't just telling you what they thought you wanted to hear? And when it comes to the crunch, they will choose political survival over a high-principled breadline? Sorry, if nothing else, the long fight to reveal the Brimbank Scandals has taught me to trust no-one in power.

Well, trust no one in this government. Does anyone think that Brumby will still be the leader at the next election, or Hulls the Deputy. As this situation develops the machine will become more desperate. Brumby, Hulls, Andrews, Cameron etc; are all about as engaging as cold cabbage. Surely we will get the 'leaving to spend more time with his family' message before 2010 and then a reshuffle of the deck chairs. The party machine knew they could not win with him as leader last time and now things are a whole lot worse for him as he has in fact got worse. The man (and the others) need to learn about humility.
