Well so far we learned three things.

1. Contrary to what he said in parliament, Justin Madden has now admitted he knew about the complaints years ago.

2. He admitted that he misinterpreted those complaints, ie he made a mistake. He misjudged the seriousness of the complaint based on his own political preconceptions.

3. Hakki won't be going back to Maddens office. (I have a person parked out the front who is keeping an eye on the place).

Justin Madden is a total disgrace.

I am so angry about Justin Madden. He said he ignored the information about Hakki because he thought it was politically motivated. He is a dick head and he is scum in my book.

Politically motivated? Even if the Liberals are politically motivated, you still have to take the concerns seriously, Madden.

Politically motivated? For Labor Unity, everyone who doesn't agree with their view of the world is politically motivated. We have been putting up with Natalie and her supporters claiming that SunRRA is politically motivated for years. And from my understanding, Labor MPs are making this claim now.

Politically motivated? Che? What politically motivated? Are we politically motivated because we don't like the fact that Natalie and her cabal decided to give a soccer club with a strong association with her family a ton of public money? Are we politically motivated because we never liked or accepted the fact that Natalie' father was receiving a rent free building for years? What about Ken in New Zealand? What about the Sydenham Community Centre (and where did the money go)? What about Harvester getting zero dollars allocated in last years' budget (as retribution against SunRRA)? I could go on and on.

Politically motivated? What's the motivation? Motivated for what purpose? To bring Natalie down for what purpose? What do we have to gain politically?

Politically motivated? Have they stopped to think that maybe we just want a fair go? Have they stopped to think that some of the people associated with SunRRA might have half a brain and maybe we just want the rorting to stop. HELLO! Maybe that's the motivation.

Labor Unity is so blinded by their own thirst for power and by corrupt branch stackers that they can't think straight. Anyone who opposes them is "politically motivated".

Who really has the political motivation here?

Madden is the one with the strong political motivation. He has wanted to protect his branch stacker at all costs. He only turned on him a little bit when it got to hot in the kitchen. But even after all the evidence on Hakki, Madden is still backing him (afterall, he now says that Hakki didn't interfere in council affairs, and that he was like any proud father). Madden makes me want to puke.

You are a dick head Madden. You are the one who is politically motivated. You are the one who has been protecting a politically motivated and corrupt adviser. You are politically motivated to try and save your arse now.

You are scum of the earth Madden. When John Cain said that the Labor Party (if it was well functioning) would flick away like dross those people who sully Brimbank and all like them, all I could think of was you, Madden.

Your inaction has caused a lot of pain and suffering to this community.

Labor doesn't have the desire or ticker to flick you. But we will do whatever we can to ensure that you are flicked away like dross.

Have they stopped to think that some of the people associated with SunRRA might have half a brain and maybe we just want the rorting to stop. HELLO! Maybe that's the motivation.Clearly that's not the case and this, at least, has now been thoroughly exposed. Let's face it, they have decided that anyone who disagrees is their political enemy. The saddest part of this is that I believe we now have evidence that Labor in government has failed so abysmally it must be sent to the corner for a very long period. It is so paranoid that the thinking remains, all critics are enemies. This is the only explanation for the continuous spin, the inability of a Premier or indeed a government to conceed that maybe, just maybe they got it wrond. They've had to conceed, albeit without actually doing so, that the north south pipeline will not deliver the savings advertised. That their U-beaut one landowner's documentation was wrong. For so long they refused to listen, now they have been confronted with failure, will they review their attitudes, no. Spin the world according to Labor's ideal, forget reality, forget the injustice their idiots inflict, just the spin, mate, just the spin.

Why do we tolerate this?

Thanks to whomever posted this. I adapted it into a letter to the editor which was published in The Age. I hope you don't mind.

Thirst for power
PLANNING Minister Justin Madden claims he ignored correspondence regarding his staffer Hakki Suleyman on the basis that it was "politically motivated". The correspondence included submissions from concerned residents and resident groups. Anyone who doesn't agree with the ALP view of the world is labelled "politically motivated".

Did it ever occur to Mr Madden and his peers that people wrote to them because they wanted a fair go? That the letters regarding possible corruption at Brimbank were written by people who were motivated by wanting to stop the rorting?

Labor in the west is so blinded by its thirst for power and by branch stackers that it can't think straight. Who really has the political motivation here, Mr Madden?

How funny is this (and what a coincidence):
http://tinyurl.com/olfjbu

It seems someone else has decided they needed Ned Kelly to help fight off Justin Madden.

But we in Sunshine had the idea first. Ned Kelly was used to help (half) save the Sunshine Pool.

We're all mad at Justin! If he's not defending branch stackers, he's letting all sorts of developments through.

http://www.theage.com.au/national/partytime-puts-spring-back-in-liberals-steps

The attack advertisements on the theme "There's something very wrong in Victoria" — with their unflattering black-and-white photographs of John Brumby and some of his ministers — were reminiscent of the "Guilty Party" ads that were so devastating for Joan Kirner the last time Labor was in charge.

Liberal state director Tony Nutt said Planning Minister Justin Madden, linked to the Brimbank Council scandal, was clearly at his wit's end, "and with great respect, I suspect it hasn't taken him long to get there".

I sometimes wander past the electoral office of Rob Hulls in Niddrie. Just a short drive up the road from the office of one J. Madden in Keilor. I could be wrong (but doubt it) but Mr Hulls would surely get the same local rags delivered. The same rags that have been detailing the rorts and corruption taking place in Brimbank over the years. I guess he suffers from the same affliction as Madden - cant read, cant hear.

I obviously dont have the politician DNA in me or the mentality of a sociopath - I cannot blatantly lie to people when asked a direct question, and have no regard for the people I am elected to serve, unless it furthers my cause.

Poor old Labor MPs foolish enough to comment on the Brimbank Scandals have two lines, Libs are inconsistent and Libs are yet to develop policy. Very true of the Federal Liberal party and they demonstrate it daily.

Consistency. In Victoria, I am tired of hearing Ted Baillieu demand an ICAC at every scandal. THAT, Labor, is consistency. And he has so many opportunities to repeat it, too, with health, public transport, Labor protection of their power base.

Policy? Hmm, let me see, Labor policy in Victoria that I have observed is, when pushed, announce a plan! Spend up big on spin doctors and plan, plan, plan. If forced to act, take small, indecisive and eminently reversible steps and maximum cost to the budget.

If only Labor had the sense to admit its faults, promise to do better and renew the cabinet, they might have a slim chance to rebuild before the election. Wouldn't be a sure thing though.

You incurable old romantic, you.

Why don't you just admit that times have changed?

That your Labor party is nothing more than a racket run by criminals and shysters.

Here are the Libs' new commercials:
http://www.youtube.com/LiberalVictoria

You can rate them, so I have rated the one on Brimbank with 5 out of 5 stars. Spot on!

I have never been a fan of the Liberals, but thank god someone is standing up for us.

Liberals have NO track record in the west

Liberals ALSO ignored letters from us for years

Liberals have NOT been an effective opposition for years.

Liberals have NOT put up good candidates here for a long time.

The Liberals have a lot of work to do. They are not going to be allowed to just cash in on our hard work

When the Liberals show they have something to offer us, then we might show some interest.

Excellent comment-I highly recomment everyone reads the post by 'Brimbank fought back' in the 'Victoria-State of corruption' section. Carpe Diem, Sieze the day Brimbank-don't stop now.

But the bold move could become a costly blunder for the Opposition, with legal experts last night describing a clip in one of the videos as "ill advised" and "a possible risk of contempt".

Is there anyone out there - legal expert or not - who agrees that these ads are "ill advised" or a "possible risk of contempt"? Or has the Hun been shown up?

They are now realising what a cesspit of corruption it is out here. How MP's are milking us dry and now it is epidemic. I couldn't be happier that they are taking an interest out here. Thank god for Bernie Finn and Colleen Hartland as they have bought issues up in Parliment . I only hope that past councillors and maybe sitting MP's are bought to account and punished accordingly. Also the west rises out of the big hole we are in due to the rorting in the past. Maybe Bill Shorten should start looking over his shoulder . I believe he would have sent a letter in favour of Hakki becoming a JP as Hakki was very involved in him winning the seat he in today.
Who could forget the stinking campaign involving the Suleymans. None of this will go away .It will get bigger and bigger as information is coming in from all over.
