What a cheek, Hakki Suleyman, your rights 9 Months, 1 Week ago
Here is a man who takes money from Community to feather his soccer club, Let alone the St Albans MRC where he is Chairman.

How can you sleep at night? Well what do you except from a convicted criminal! He has been convicted for bashing a women, was he not!

Brumby you must sack Suleyman, Seitz and Madden!

Re:Ethnic Branch Stacking got to Stop 9 Months, 1 Week ago
Madden's bleatings that he had not control or influence over Hakki condemn him even more. What kind of a boss doesn't know what his staff member is doing, can't direct that staff member, yet consults him as the oracle of politics in the wesst AGAINST the community, and still authorises his pay.

Incompetent as a politician, incompetent as a minister, incompetent as an employer. Perhaps a career change is needed.. sports commentary???

Madden and Hakki 9 Months, 1 Week ago
I understand Madden paid the price of employinh Kakki Suleyman as his go between. Both Madden and Hakki have to be SACKED!

Brumby you do not have the balls, to do something for the western suburbs. SACK them all, along with Stephen NEWMAN your ALP State Secretary. You and them have ruined the ALP. Then YOU should also RESIGN and call a new Election.

Give the Victorian public a government that cares. not just look after a few brabnh stackers, such as Suleyman and Seitz.

While I was reading about Hakki this morning while eating my corn flakes, I tasted a salty substance. Then I realised my tears for Hakki had fallen into my bowl! Poor, poor Hakki.

Re:Sins of the father: Justin Madden knew everythi 9 Months ago
IT'S been a tough time for Justin Madden as he battles the peculiar strain of Brimbank flu that made him the first minister in 20 years to be censured by Spring Street. Then there's tomorrow's rally on the steps of Parliament by a coalition of action groups, called Marvellous Melbourne, which is aggrieved at the Planning Minister overriding councils and fast-tracking developments.

Already baying for Madden's sacking, the Opposition thought it an opportune time to highlight his tardiness in answering some basic questions that warrior David Davis asked on September 20, 2007. First, there's Madden's tardiness: he replied on June 2, 2009 — that's 21 months or 621 days (back to that later). Second, there's Madden's difficulty with the answers: asked about international and domestic flights during a specific period, he replied he "did not undertake any international travel" but domestic flights "including New Zealand" were $7724.

Huh? Then when Davis asked about hospitality costs for his office, Madden was just as vague as the atlas he uses, saying they were "moderate". Then came the reply about alcohol costs: "To compile the information would be a large burden on the department's time and resources."

Getting back to the time Madden took to reply — 621 days — Diary consulted the online Mammal Pregnancy Gestation Calendar to compare the birth timeline: an elephant, 660 days; an African rhinoceros, 480 days; an ass, 365 days. A handy reference to have.

http://www.theage.com.au/national/lib-calls-ministers-convicted-criminals-20090609-c28i.html

A SENIOR Victorian shadow minister has been accused of misleading voters after his column in a Chinese-language newspaper said Planning Minister Justin Madden and former police minister Andre Haermeyer were convicted criminals.

The column, by shadow attorney-general Robert Clark about the damning Ombudsman's report into the Brimbank Council, says "many persons involved (in Brimbank) are Labor members, including Minister for Planning and former Police Minister. Both of them have been sentenced to be guilty of criminal matters."

The error was picked up when the article, printed in the May 15 edition of Asian Multimedia , was translated back into English by a qualified translator, paid for by the Brumby Government.

The Labor party is already rewarding the filthy dross that got up to their neck in the Brimbank scandal. Look at what's in store for Justin.

My god if Justin gets George's seat, maybe Hakki will be made Ambassador to Turkey? Suits me. I think Justin has still got a surprise or two coming his way. How brave to move him to Keilor. Another fine mess Shorten has got into.

http://www.theage.com.au/national/labor-deal-could-find-madden-moving-house-20090609-c290.html

A MOVE by embattled Planning Minister Justin Madden to the lower house at next year's state election is a key element of a peace accord being hammered out between the Victorian ALP's brawling factions.

The deal would likely see Mr Madden take the lower house seat of Keilor, which is expected to be vacated by veteran MP and numbers man George Seitz after he was implicated in the Brimbank Council scandal.

Call for Madden's sacking

BY JANAE HOUGHTON
9/06/2009 10:44:00 AM

AS the fallout from the Ombudsman's report into Brimbank Council continues, Planning Minister Justin Madden has refused to stand down, despite being the first minister in 20 years to be censured by State Parliament.
Opposition upper house leader David Davis presented a no-confidence motion last week, accusing Mr Madden of misleading the Parliament last month when he said he was unaware that his electorate officer, Hakki Suleyman, was interfering in Brimbank Council issues.

The motion was carried in the upper house with debate lasting six hours.

In the wake of the Ombudsman's report, which revealed Mr Suleyman meddled in the council affairs on a number of occasions, Mr Madden has claimed in Parliament that he was unaware of his employee's actions.

He has since stood Mr Suleyman down, pending an investigation.

Mr Davis' motion stated that Mr Madden should be sacked because "the minister knew of the political corruption in his office having been informed of the issues concerning Mr Hakki Suleyman through a series of questions and statements in this chamber between 2005 and 2008, through correspondence that he has admitted seeing which was sent to his office by the Sunshine Ratepayers Association, and in a series of media reports between 2005 and 2008".

In radio interviews the next day, Premier John Brumby said he still had complete confidence in Mr Madden.

Speaking on 3AW, Mr Brumby said: "I think Justin is an excellent minister.

"I have full confidence in him. I think his behaviour has been appropriate."

Western suburbs advocacy group Respect the West has called for Mr Madden to be sacked.

Convener Sean Spencer said Mr Madden knew what was going on and failed to protect Brimbank residents.

"These warnings were subsequently proven to be accurate by the Victorian Ombudsman in his report into the dysfunctional Brimbank Council and unsurprisingly were motivated by the community's desire to end long-standing neglect of their needs," he said.

"This leaves Mr Brumby with no choice but to call Mr Madden to account"

I will be appalled if this "community" group stooped to the levels of george seitz, andrew theophanus et al by running scores of dummy candidates in the state election, like what happens in council elections. This would make you no better than them! (unless of course you ARE tyhem!)

Can't you just put a strong independent candidate up and campaign for them w/o resorting to ALP tactics?

I think its a fantastic idea to run numerous candidates against Madden as long as they declare they are all under the same banner.

Madden will be running as part of the ALP's group of candidates, and you can bet your boopsy they won't declare they are in it together.

Absolutely ! I agree.

I think 20 is an exaggeration to get the point across, but to run 3 candidates under one banner with 2 of them preferencing the lead candidate is smart politics. It also gives the Greens and Liberals someone other than the ALP to preference and would put the heat on Madden.

There is nothing wrong with running a ticket as long as its out in the open.
