What a bunch of ratbag no-hopers.

Didn't the warden of this place just get an award?? Sounds like Brimbank council.

http://www.theage.com.au/national/drugs-and-sex-scandal-hit-jail-20091116-ii9u.html

A BIG increase in drug overdoses among inmates and a sex scandal involving prison officials have prompted claims that Victoria's largest women's jail is in disarray.

In the past six months, at least seven - and possibly 11 - prisoners have had one or more serious drug overdoses at the maximum security Dame Phyllis Frost Centre in Melbourne's west.

Two prison officials have also been investigated for misconduct after the acting operations manager was discovered changing rosters so he could have sex with a female prison officer at the jail - including while she was on duty.

The State Opposition and prisoner welfare advocates claim the latest drug and sex incidents show the state-run jail is in crisis.

You see it happening in the schools, you see it happening in the social housing push.

Ity happens everywhere there's a filthy Labor Party bastard and a bucket of cash.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/national/school-rip-off-concern/story-e6frf7l6-1225801822543

A MELBOURNE school principal has accused government-appointed consultants of overquoting for a project funded by federal stimulus cash.

"I'm convinced that either these prices are over-inflated to stop us having the building where we want or this is evidence of over-pricing by the select tenderers," he said. "The potential for being ripped off in this is enormous."

The Herald Sun has seen a letter to Mr Grossek from project management firm APP Corporation, which was appointed by the Brumby Government.

Branch-stacking probe under fire at Victorian ALP state conference

From: AAP November 21, 2009 3:41PM

THE Victorian ALP has been accused by its own members of failing to properly investigate allegations of branch stacking.

The finger pointing came after the party's state conference today was told an internal investigation had found no allegations of branch stacking.

"I'm really pleased to report ... that no specific allegations of branch stacking were brought before the committee," Andrew Giles, one of the members on the committee investigating the allegations, told the conference.

But Labor stalwart Eric Dearricott said the committee had delivered a "damp squib".

"The committee was meant to investigate branch stacking." Mr Dearricott said.

"They didn't necessarily have to get the information on a platter.

"They knew where to find it, they didn't do so."

John Lannan from the Flinders branch said the committee's report was "a complete cop-out".

"You haven't delivered a report which is going to end branch stacking." he said.

Mr Lannan said he and Mr Dearricott had observed party rules being abused to facilitate branch stacking at head office but neither had been invited to take part in the investigation.

He called for an independent review into branch stacking.

The committee has proposed to address the problem by trying to increase genuine memberships and making it easier to join the ALP

Premier John Brumby did not mention the controversial issue in his address to the conference today.

There is no way that Brumby can afford to set up an independent crime authority, because half his government would be in jail the following day.

The question is, what is this all about? An enquiry run by a former employee of Labor's "gang of four"?

The prediction is that the powers of such anti-corruption agencies that we have now will be watered down.

Premier John Brumby has moved to deflect attention from consistent Opposition calls for the establishment of an independent anti-corruption commissioner with a wide-ranging review into the powers of Victoria's key integrity agencies.

Local government boss turned company director Elizabeth Proust will oversee an investigation

Ms Proust has served as secretary of the Department of Premier and Cabinet, secretary of the Attorney-General's Department and Melbourne City Council boss.

I agree with you completely, the minute I heard this announced I remembered those Labor heavyweights bemoaning the power of the Ombudsman and the lack of accountability of that role... Look forward to LABOR WEAKENING ALL REVIEW BODIES - they haven't sold off their principles just to be exposed by independent review panels!!

http://www.theage.com.au/national/personal-data-not-secure-20091126-js3e.html

THE personal information of thousands of Victorians has been stored on CDs and memory sticks and sent to the personal email accounts of public servants, exposing "fundamental flaws" in the State Government's protection of private information, according to a damning report.

The report examined the Department of Premier and Cabinet and two other departments. Auditor-General Des Pearson found there had been "no effective oversight" and co-ordination of information security for the public sector.

I'm really glad this one is finally out.

Any train traveller can gain access to personal information as Vic public servants do their 'work' on the train. The first time I saw it I was amazed as I worked for a federal department with stringent secrecy requirements. I could read the names and addresses of people and the amount of duty they had to pay on particular transactions. Heaven only knew what went out electronically!

Worse, were the young lawyers working through materials on cases and taking phone calls and discussing intimate details of the case in public hearing. When I asked one young lawyer why this breach, she asked where I did my law degree. I rang the law institute. Needless to say, on any given day, you can still find a young lawyer spreading all the written material of a case for everyone to read. A lot of people can read upside down and they really get annoyed when you take up more space on a train than you need.

If Brumby is failing the kids by putting a branch stacked stooge in charge, you know this State is completely stuffed.
http://www.theage.com.au/national/state-failing-abused-children-20091126-juny.html?autostart=1

CHILDREN in state care have died, been seriously injured and been permitted to have contact with sex offenders, the Ombudsman has revealed in a scathing report that finds the Victorian Government is failing to protect children.

Mr Brouwer said he had not included details of some cases because "the facts are too disturbing".

"My investigation revealed instances where children have died, been seriously injured or allegedly assaulted by their carers," Mr Brouwer said. But these cases had attracted little scrutiny.

"Will the Premier now sack the Minister for Community Services for gross incompetence, or is protecting the minister more important to the Premier than protecting vulnerable children?" Opposition Leader Ted Baillieu asked.

But the Premier backed his besieged minister

===

Clearly, its more important for Brumby to protect one of his LABOR UNITY PIGS than it is to stop children being abused.

Kevin Rudd apologised to the orphans for the years of abuse they had to endure.

Maybe John Brumby should apologise now for allowing the abuse to continue.

Yes folks, you thought it could only happen in Germany in 1933. But here it is, coming at you in John Brumby's Victoria in 2009.

It's been done in exactly the same way. First you ramp up the causes of violence. Then you ramp up police powers, which become used for "political" gain.

It's how it was done in 1933. Labor have learnt very well.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

http://www.theage.com.au/national/police-to-have-power-to-stripsearch-at-random-20091128-jy0e.html

POLICE will soon have sweeping powers to search people at random, including strip-search, even if there is no reasonable suspicion those targeted have done anything wrong.

The "stop and search" tactic is part of a law and order crackdown set to be passed by State Parliament, despite the Government conceding that the legislation breaches the Victorian Human Rights Charter.

Melbourne barrister Michael Pearce, SC, president of Liberty Victoria, said the bill was undemocratic. "It will clearly involve significant intrusions on ordinary civil liberties and human rights, such as the right to walk the streets and mind your own business," he said.

Under the bill anyone can be searched if they are in a designated area and any area can be designated if violence occurred there in the previous 12 months or police receive intelligence that it may become a trouble scene.

Typical of Brumby, what a mongrel bastard he has been destroying this democracy, branch stacking, removing common law rights, new police powers to take private property, no right to question false accusation in Domestic violence cases, no right for free speech on religion. It has been a police state for a long time, now they do what they like and strip search anyone anywhere anytime, Where is the opposition, where are the Eureka miners taking up arms against an absolute clueless self serving egomaniac bastard handng out political favours to police and those who can afford a to pay cash for a chat with the bastard Brumby an unprinciples shit.

Police and politicians are supposed to be separate branches of a democracy, but Bracks said it is a great democractic tradition to meet with stakeholders after making secret deals with Police Union Secretary Paul Mullett. Bracks went on to a one day a week $100,000 a year job with KPMG. Victorian labor have no values, no integrity and no honesty. Labor do what Simon Overland asks for and then the police do whatever Labor politicians ask of them, investigate enemies of labor and let Labor party members off the hook for crimeas against this democracy.

Take up arms at the 2010 election, stand up against labor party thugs and bullies who have no interest in preserving any democratic freedoms as ancient as the Magna Carta. Take up arms againt Brumby and his toady zealot reformist ROb Hulls who is intent on removing all our rights and liberties in 2010. Ensure this grubby dishonest little clown Brumby is thrown out of office. I hate this Victorian Labor party so much I sometimes wish it were 1854 and I could take up real arms against a rotten to the core Brumby/Hulls labor party.

If you know anything about page rank for search tearms you would realise that linking to Sunraysia helps their search engine ranking for those keywords about mongrel labor politicians taking over local government.

I attribute material to the original author with a hypertext link, 10% of anything written can be used for academic purposes, our democracy is going down Brumby's toilet and you want to call people writing about is plagurists, you moron, thwe real issue is the demise of democracy under labor not plagurism and you are worng about that as well.

This is my site you mongrel, it is an international site and all original material except where quoted and attributed, always with a text link to the original author. There is no advertising and it you give me your IP I will make sure you can never visit it again.

Are you some labor flunky trying to stifle free speech like Brumbu. calling me plagurist, you idiot NOT

It is annoying to be false accused of plagurism by labor flunkies on this site, falsely accusing critics of cherrypicking material. On this webpage there are a couple of parapraphs quoted from Sunraysia that are vital to be preserved, my site is indexed and archived by the National Library of Australia, it will be preserved for a long time.

A lunatic why thanks moron. A complememnt from you. When you accuse someone of tyheft be sure you have the facts correct if you don't want a defamation action coming your way.

Cherrypicking, how dare you moron, there is so much original contant on the demise of democracy that is of an academic concern to all Victorians.

Never mind NOT and PLAGURISM get your won website or make a myspace page you fools, mine is not for sale or to be compromised by lies. Well done Sunraysia, I support you with every link I make to your site and I have supported Sunraysia attending public meeting and gatherings so maybe I will see you there NOT. Make yourself known if you have the guts. I do and I am known by many as a hard working publisher, historian and psychologist and you need help.

Read the entire page with a solicitor and tell me if you would like to repeat the accusation and I will subpoena records of your IP address and come around to see you with a truckload of ambulance chasers. Plagurism! Contact the copyright council or ACMA you mongrel spitting on others work and doing nothing productive yourself.
