Sins of the father: Justin Madden knew everything 9 Months ago
Justin Madden is claiming that he knew nothing about the sins of Natalie Suleyman's father, which have been raised in the Ombudsman's report. Of course, that's what he is saying; he is running for cover. But nothing could be further from the truth. Documents show that Madden knew Hakki was involved in all sorts of shenagigans with the Brimbank City Council almost 4 years ago.

For example, on 8 September 2005, the Hon. John Vogels raised concerns about Hakki Suleyman's involvement in the Cairnlea Soccer club scandal (now a major feature of the Ombudsman's report), as reported in Hansard. He spoke on this issue for almost 30 minutes! At one point, Vogels stated:

The Minister for Sport’s part time assistant is Hakki ‘Harry’ Suleyman, the father of Cr Natalie Suleyman and the former public officer of the Albion Rovers Soccer Club. The vice president of the Albion Rovers Soccer Club committee of management is Mehmet Suleyman. He is the brother of Cr Natalie Suleyman and the son of Mr Hakki Suleyman.

How could the mayor vote for a decision to give $650 000 to a soccer club when her father and her brother are part of that soccer club?

This was September 2005. Now Justin Madden is saying the first he knew of any of this was the Ombudsman's report of 7 May 2009. We hold correspondence from a very concerned Sunshine resident who wrote to Madden on 2 June 2005:

The Suleyman family is currently involved in conflict of interest allegations as reported in the local press (“Mayor: leave my family out of it” the Star, 10.05.05 p.5). The story involves the mayor's role in a Council vote to benefit a sports club with alleged long-term links to the Suleyman family. Other irregularities have been reported on the issue which are revealing.

Now it seems Mr Suleyman is confronting and intimidating members of the public gallery at Brimbank Council meetings.

This has been on the public record for nearly 4 years. Like Madden, we have known what is going on for many years and we know that Madden's lack of action is due to the benefits gained from branch stacking.

Planning Minister Justin Madden now stands accused of misleading the parliament over his knowledge of the activities of Hakki Suleyman at Brimbank Council. Suleyman has worked in Madden's electoral office for a number of years. The activities have been well documented in the public domain - and brought to the attention of his departments - over those years.

What does it matter? Justin was a great footballer. That's all that matters.

What do I care if he is the biggest dud politician the west has seen? I just want to remember him as a great footballer and pretend that all the dirt that is following him now never existed. I want to go back in time and forever remember him as the great footballer.

Hmmmmmm. Maybe that's what Justin is trying to pretend about Hakki. All the dirt and branch stacking that he benefited from never existed. He must be living in the past, thinking of those better days, when everyone said he would be Premier one day. Nothing like living in the past, man.

Everybody is getting in on the act. Now there's even a blog spot dedicated to exposing what Justin knew about Hakki Suleyman.

Great website: http://sackbrimbankcouncil.com

The best reason for why the council should be sacked is no.10, we need a fresh start. Burn the whole house down and let's start all over again.

It's a very sorry, tragic story out here - let's have a new beginning and start all over again.

Do you need another reason to sack the Brimbank Council? There are plenty. 11. Sydenham Community centre; 12. One new councillor, Tran Siu (another puppet), is already under investigation for breaches during the last election.

By the way, Justin Madden is the new Pinochio. His nose is getting bigger every day. He says he saw nothing. He knows everything. Brimbank is a basket case and he has benefited from it becoming a basket case. He sold his soul to Hakki, to get into parliament. In return, Hakki ran amok in Brimbank while Justin turned a blind eye. When Hakki was challenged, Justin defended every allegation that was made about him. Justin loved Hakki, very much, until 7 May 2009, when the Ombudsman's report came out. That's when Justin realised he better fall out of love quick smart or go down with Hakki. He fell out of love with him alright. Now Justin's pretending he knew nothing.

Hakki owns you, Madden. There's no point distancing yourself from him. Hakki needs some favours and he will be calling on you in this desperate time of need. You know you owe him, so now it's time to pay the pied piper.

I dedicate these lyrics from the Tracy Chapman song, "tell it like it is" to SunRRA.

Keep telling it like it is and bring these mother f%&#*ckers down once and for all.

-----------
Say it say it say it Tell it like it is
Say it say it say it Tell it like it is
What breaks your heart
What keeps you awake at night
What makes you want to breakdown and cry
But say you'll never turn your back
Say you'll never harden to the world
Say you'll never try to still the rhythms in your breast
Say you'll never look at the evil among us and try to forget
Say you'll tell it like it is
Say it say it say it so everyone can hear
Say it say it say it tell it like it is
What breaks your heart
What keeps you awake at night
How your anger and grief
Make you want to cry out
And tell it like it is
But say you'll never close your eyes
Or pretend that it's a rosy world
Say you'll never try to paint
What is rotten with a sugarcoat
Say you'll talk about the horrors you've seen and the torment you know
And tell it like it is
Say it say it say it
So no one can forget
Say it say it say it Tell it like it is
What breaks your heart
What keeps you awake at night
What makes you want to break the ties that silence and bind
And tell it like it is
Say you'll never cover your ears and close your mouth
And live in a silent world
Say you'll only run as far or as fast as you need to be secure
Say that then you'll tell the truth
When a lie could cross your lips
And tell it like it is
Say it say it say it - Say it say it say it
Say it say it say it - Say it say it say it
Say it say it say it - Say it say it say it
Say it say it say it - Say it say it say it

Who needs who?

It seems to me Justin needs Hakki more than Hakki needs Justin.

Who will be calling who?

The problem Justin and all his friends have is if they piss Hakki off too much, like by sacking him, how will they hold their carers together and those of the aspiring up and coming new clique.

Yes this is quite a problem for the Labor government.

If they kill Hakki off they cut thier own throats.

What to do, what to do?

Cross your fingers, hold on, hold your breath, what will they do.

I agree, Justin needs Hakki more than Hakki needs Justin. I'm holding on to my hat because it's going to be one hell of a ride.
Justin was the golden boy, of football and parliament. Now his career and reputation rest perilously on a knife's edge. Which way will he fall and will anyone catch him?

But that time honoured question is particularly apt for Justin: how can you save someone from themselves?

How come the opposition hasn't been able to secure Madden's resignation for misleading the parliament?

All these Labor stooges mislead the parliament these days, and get away with it, which is one indication why Victoria is going down the gurgler.

We want Madden held to account!

Parliament doesn't sit again until 2 June. The opposition would have had a field day with Madden if it was sitting this week. Unfortunately, we have to keep the pressure up until then.

Why do you want to hurt the ALP. Who will you turn to without the ALP? The Libs? Forget it. Let Labor clean up its act. They will do it. Why wage a vendetta gainst the ALP. They are the working person's party and in a working class suburb like Sunshine, we need them.

Why are you thinking that way, after all the damage they have inflicted on this community? I'm an ex ALP member, but after what they have done to our community, if that whole damn party sinks to the bottom of the sea, I wouldn't even sigh.

The part I really, really hate about these dick heads is how they treat the western suburbs as a complete joke.

They dump the worst branch stackers on us. They rape and pillage our community for their own personal benefit. They think we are dumb and they treat us with contempt.

But the part that angers me the most, that makes my blood boil, is that in parliament they have the gall to laugh at us. As Justin Madden did when Bernie Finn was talking about the problems out here. As the police minister did when he heard about our rally to stop the violence in Sunshine.

They treat us with contempt and think we are too weak and too dumb to take them on.

They should think again. We are not going away.

Landeryou is writing such tripe on his website. He hasn't let this issue go - he has written about it for days. Maybe he knows that anything involving SunRRA and the Brimbank Council gives him massive readership.

The following is a post by one of the visitors:

They really, really are a rabid lot in Sunshine. The unwashed out there are still baying for blood.

They will not let Madden go. They are like rabid dogs.

See what they are writing now. It is unbelievable. The sad thing is the media has fallen in love with this lot. I saw the SunRRA website plastered all over the ABC news tonight. They will not stop until they take a scalp. Yikes, maybe it’s the Sunshine way: http://www.sunshine.asn.au
