Councillor "Junkets" 2 Years, 4 Months ago
I have been informed that Nick Foa, Margaret Guidice and representation from a neighbouring council recently visited Canberra to discuss the Calder Freeway issue with the Minister for Roads.

But, thanks to the intervention of Cr. Sam David, Cr. Natalie Suleyman and friend Cr. Marilyn Zukalski also went along for the ride.

I am told that as the latter two were not part of the original arrangement, the Minister refused to include them in the meeting.
So the taxpayer funded trip for Suleyman and Zukalski was wasted.
And one could argue why it would be necessary for 4 Brimbank representatives to attend in the first place. I understand the Opposition Spokesman for Roads has an office in nearby Northcote.

But was it wasted?
I am told that Zukalskis husband works in Canberra and the trip provided her with an opportunity to visit him and that Suleyman could access Stephen Conroy.

So just how much did this "junket" cost ratepayers?

And what "deals" were struck to allow Suleyman and Zukalski to secure their unnecessary attendance?

We know this taxpayer junket will be related to the impending mayoral elections... as more ratepayer dollars are sacrificed to finance the self-serving interests of some of the current councillors.

Thanks Marilyn,

We should never forget what type of political animals we are dealing with.

At least they left 'Drunken Pash On' Kenny home. Who knows if any men or women would have been safe from 'ol' feel her/him up' Kenny.

Council needs to start showing some spine - why the hell are we paying for junkets for Suleyman and Zukalski - this the same council that constantly whines that it has no money - this is why its got no money!!!! Carpet-baggers and theives. The cost of the trip should be deducted from funds going to Suleyman and Zukalski's ward.

This was a bad call by who ever allowed this to happen.

How unprofessional our representation must appear to those in Canberra.

This is concerning as it shows a lack of good management and leadership.

An accounting of the waste is justified.

Dear Jacey,

I know how difficult it is to get published. I'm sure somebody will appreciate all this work, if, it's actually original. I'm sure an epublisher will be delighted to help you out. Otherwise you can get your own website, blog, or, if you're a bit older you might consider self-publication of a compendium of you writings.

So, unless you're a local or your stories connect to the suburb of Sunshine in Victoria Australia - which your previous posts do not - please restrain youself and inflict them only onto your close circle of friends. Best of luck with pushing your work out, but please, spare me any more. I'm not hooked.
