LABOR'S battle to hold crucial marginal state seats under threat from the Greens has hit another hurdle with Phil Cleary preparing to run as an independent for the seat of Brunswick.
In the shadow of the recent federal election campaign, Mr Cleary letterboxed 30,000 copies of a pamphlet arguing for more independent MPs in State Parliament and calling on voters to break Labor's stranglehold on the inner-city electorate.

Libs in Trouble
The Federal election showed that LABOR are in trouble.
In Victoria, the Liberals only got 45.85% of the 2PP vote. By any account, that's disasterous for them if translated into the state election in November.
If you think i'm smoking pot, have you just taken a tab of LSD? How could you possibly support the statement you made above?

Libs in trouble
The vote from the federal election seems to indicate that the Liberals are in big trouble.
Unless i'm wrong, and state and federal issues are unrelated.
After the fed result the greens would be expecting 4 lower house seats and at least 3 upper house ones.
Not sure if that's what we want out here, but glad to see Libs banished.
